Photo of Darcy and I at Frostburn. This photo was taken by the Stilted Saint, who is my hero. Costumes made by myself, Hannah Pertalion. The hat lights up, I will post more photos.
A glorious time was had at Playa del Fuego last weekend. This picture is of me and Erin Saturday night after the burn.
I really enjoy making light up glowing costumes, the ones in this picture are a glowing tutu, a vest with a glowing ruff, and a glowing bra that’s been made with el wire. Everything is battery powered, able to be worn separately, and fairly easy to wear. I can’t wait to work on new different things for the future.
The burn was wonderful, and exactly what I needed as a graduation celebration and to get myself back to myself after a long hard last semester. So many wonderful people. I am really excited about Transformus in July.

Ginkgo Burn Barrel-by Hannah Pertalionhttp://huzzahtuesday.tumblr.com/
This is a 55 gallon steel drum that I cut up, welded back together, and then plasma cut some more. It was a lot of fun to make. This one was more of a practice go, and I’m making another one next week with some slight tweaking to the design.
I’ll be bringing one of these with me to Playa del Fuego, along with some other functional art.

Darcy and I are going to Playa del Fuego over Columbus day weekend. Huzzah!
Playa del Fuego is the Mid-Atlantic regional Burning Man event. I’m ridiculously excited. This is our first time going to this event so if anyone has any tips, advice, or ideas on things to bring (for fun, survival, or greater quality of life) please let me know by replying or though my “ask” thing.
