huzzah tuesday

This is my 2nd project from my wood sculpture class. The assignment was “object as icon” and I chose a ginkgo leaf. It’s an alter like piece using family symbolism and tea bags from my morning tea/meditation. Made of laminated birch plywood.

Finished shelf. This was my first project in my wood sculpture class, we had to make a container. This was made to hold all of our herbs.

I’m really happy with how it turned out, I really enjoy woodworking.

Final wood project number 2. More sanding. All the sanding. Ahhh sanding.

Final wood project number 1. Its going to be a gift for my mother who is a midwife. So, so, so much sanding left to do.

A shelf I’ve been working on for my wood design sculpture class. It’s intended to hold dried herbs from my garden.
